Natural method
The Natural Method is one of the basic Freinet methods. It sees learning as a constructive, self-directed process associated with a joyful spirit of discovery. This basic attitude corresponds to the pedagogical approach of constructivism, according to which learners construct their own knowledge and skills. According to Freinet, every child can and wants to learn. They do this without judgment or hesitation. At the heart of this natural learning process is the development of –> exploratory questions and the method of –> tactile experimentation. Adults can also learn using the natural method. In doing so, they return to the spirit of research and discovery from their own childhood.
