I live at school with my children. They could all be my own children. I bring life into the school or we go out into life together and discover it together. We write and print about it. We work on projects. The curriculum is only there so that I can find reasons for what we do.

It was incredible to see all the students from our three learning groups on stage at the end of a two-month biography theater project with external artists. They showed so authentically what moves them inside. Hearing from players and spectators how touching and valuable they found the project. To experience how friendships between learners deepened and how the teachers were able to build stronger relationships with the learners. Without the Freinet pedagogy, I would never have come to play and teach theater. I would never have dared to set up such a large project.
